AN ORDINANCE RFGGDIATING THE HOURS OF OPERATION
OF BARBER SHOPS IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDE U,
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR V IOL114TIONS THEREOF.
BE ITM ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF t_ '-r CITY OF CAPE
GIR4RDFAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOW=7S;
SECTION 1. That from and after the effective date of this
ordinance, no barber shop shall serve any customer, transact any
business connected with the services of such customers or keep open any
shop, chair, stand, or place operated by said barber shop, except
as provided by the terms of this ordinance, and each and every
violiation of such teras and provisions is hereby declared to
be a misdemeanor.
SECTION 2. Hours of closing. No business or profession
described in Section One i of this Ordinance shall be operated
or opened for business on the first day of each week commonly
galled Sunday, nor or, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Labor
Day or the Fourth of duly, of each year, No business or profession
described an Section One (l) of this ordinance, shall be operated
or opened for busiw,s,2except between the hours of eight A. M. and
six P.44-$rovided,kthat my barber shop shall not accept any
appointments or undertake to serve any customer at a time so near
the above closing hour as to require extension of such closing hour
before completing the work of such appointment or serving such
customer.
SECTION 3. Penalty. Any person who violates the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemenor and upon
conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less that $1.00
nor more than $100,00 for each such offense.
SECTION 4. Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after the expiration of ten days after its
passage and approval.
