BE IT QRDAINID BY TI-� COUNCIL OF TH� CITY OF C�1PE GIRARDEAU, NiISSUURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the portion of Bloomfie2d Strset
in the City of Cape Girardeau, l�lissouri, z'rom the west curb line of
Pacific Street to the edge of the concrete pavement at the east side
of West End Boulevard,
the s�,me being in District 1,10. 3�_., in the City of Cape Girardeau, I�iissouri,
as 1�id out and desi�;na.ted by Co��uia.ssion Forin Ordinance Ivo. 800, passed and
approved on the 23rd day of Jul�, 1937, and Cominission Forrn Ordinance Pdo. 1253,
passed and apnroved on the 29th d�y of I'i�,y, 1950, shall be repaired �nd
resurfaced in �ccordance with said Cornr��.ission Form Urdinarice Nos. 800 and
1z53, as Project No. 17-51 _____,, in sa.id District ��o. 3 .
ST.CTION 2. The fol.lowin�; work shall be done: Remove and replace the
base where found necessary, remove and repJ_�ce the existing asphalt surfacing
or bring existing low pl�::ces in the surf-wce to the -�ro�er �rad.e and coritour
wit�h new asphaltic cor.crete or asphalt penetr�:.tion co�irse, where found
necessary, and place a seal co�:t consisting oi ei.ralsif�ied or cut-back.

b�r the City Engineer.
SECTION 3. Said repairing and resurfacin� said street shall be done by
the llepartrnent of Public Works of the City of Ca.pe Girardeau, I��issouri,
under the direction and supervision of the Cit,y r;n�ineer, so that the cost
of such repairing and resurfacing shall not exceed �n �::nount eaual to
s�xty (b0) cents per front foot of property frontin� and abutting on said
portion of said street so imj�roved.
SECTION 4. An accurate �.ccount shall_ be kept by the City En�ineer of the
cost of said work, including pa;nnent at contract pric�s for any portions
thereof done by contract, and such cost shall be defrayed by a special tax
to be assessed in favor of the City of Cape Girardeau, I��issouri, against
the property fronting �.r.d abuttin� on s�,id �oiYtion oi said street in the
�roportion that the linear feet of e�ch lot or tract frontxng a.nd �:.butting
on said portion of s�.id street Ue�rs to the total nur.iber of linear fe�t of
all the property fronting a.nd ��buttii�g on that partion of' said street so
rep:�ired and resurf�.ced.
S}�TION 5. Upon the comp2etion of s<Lic� wor?t the said CitJ Engineer sha11
report to the co��ncil the to�al cost of sa.ic� repairin� and resurfacing oP
said portion of s2.id street, the total number of linear feet of property
frontin�; and abuttin� thereon, a�nd the +�ro?�ortionate share of such total
cost chargeable agaanst each lot, tract, and parcel of la.rid frontin�; and
abuttin� on said portion of said street, in accordance with the provisions
of this ordinance.
SECTIODI 6. Upon the filing of such renor-�; by the City -�ngineer, the City
Council shall exaariine the same, c:nd if said re?�ort be found correct, and the
total cost of sa.id repairing �nd resurfacinr; does not exceed 60 cents pe.r
front foot on �.11 of the nroperty iro�iting and abuttin� upon the said portion
of said street, the Council shall levy and �.sses5 a special t� �.�ainst said
propert�t in accorc�annce with said re��rt. Said t<�x bills shall be sold for
not less tP�a,n ttieir face value, and assigned by the Ci.ty Clerk to any
purch�ser or purchasers thereof.

SECTION 7. Al1 ordinances and �arts of ordin_�nces in conflict with the
provisions hereof axe hereby repealed.
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect a.nd be in force from �:nd
after ten days after its passage a.nd approval.
