i+�Hr�Fi,�aS, the Board of Education of the City of Cape Giraraeau, iiissouri,
has rea�uested the City Gouncil to vacate a certain portion of r:cKinley Street,
as shown on the plat of Stockton's �ddition,� and
ti�N:�1S, the City Council finds that said street being only 25 feet in
width could not serve as a suitable artery for traffic, besides offering a
serious hazard to pedestrians, if opened, because of its location,
NOW, `PI�t?EFORE, be it orda�.ned by the Council of the City of Cape
Girardeau, A�iissouri, as follows:
SECTIUPJ l. That frou; and after the eflective date of this Ordinance,
tnat part of A':cKiriley Street, as shown on the pla.t of Stockton�s addition,
frorr� the east lir�e of the Resubdivision of Schlueter•�s Subdivision of Lot
5 and the west part of Lot 6 0�' Stockton's Addition, to the west line of
Louisiana Avenue, in the Cit3T of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is by the Council
abandoned as a public thoroughfare, and an9 previous dedication of said
I��cKinle� Street is by the Council revoked ir� all things.
SECTION 2. That the ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and af�er the date of its passage.
