Section 1. That from and after the effective date of this
r lnance it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle
on the �;��est side of Henderson �venue from I�Tormal tivenue to
;1'oodland Drive , and on the North side of Lacey Street from
Broadway Street to Keller �venue.
Section 2. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to place
on t e �,f� est side of Henderson �venue and the T?orth side of
Lacey Street between the poiz�ts designated signs advising the
public that parkir�g is prohibited in said area.
Section 3 . kny person who shall violate the provisions of this
r inance sha�l be deemed guilty of a misdemea.nor, and upon
co.nvictioxi thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than
�l.CC nor more than �25.00, to�ether with the costs of prosecution.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordir�ances that are
lnconsisterlt with , co.ntrary to, or in conflict with the provisions
of this Ordmance are hereby repealed.
Section 5 . Because of tne immediate and great danger to the
person, property, life, limb and safety of the people a nd vehicles
on the aforesaid streets of the City of Cape Girardeau, I'11issouri,
due to traff ic accidents and traffic hazards, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist within the meanirig of the Constitution
and laws governing cities of t he third �lass; theref ore , this
Ordinance shall be in full force and eff ect f rom and after its
passage and approval .
