Section.l. b��H:�:ii��z;, the _�outr.eGst 1'�lissouri State College is
en�;aged in erectino a Field House near the intersection of Bellevue
Street and Houck Flace �nd have found it necessary to �lock an
area of Bellevue �treet in order tna.t tne contractor might build
a li�;ht building to house tools and offices �,rhile the building
is being constructed. P�ow, therefore
Section 2. Permission is hereby granted for tne contractor or
the Southeast i=.issouri State College to block that area of
Bellevue :�treet at the entrance of Houck �,ield at the north end
of Houck Place, bet�veen ti.e two north and south lanes on Houck
Place ; provided, however, that said contractor or Southeast
T'-ii ssouri .�tate College shall ot�struct neither of said lanes of
Houck Place for traffic .
Section 3 . Durin` the peried of cor:struction and so lon� as the
ternporury buildings shall block the area of Lellevue ��treet a�ove
described, no rnotor vehicle shull park or be allowed to reinain
standing on eitrier lane of Houck Place .
Section �.. �.ny person who srall violate dny of the provisions
of this orainar�ce shall be deerried �uilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof, sn«11 be punished by a fi:ne of not less
than One Lollar ( ,;>l.OU) and �iot rnore t�ian One :undred Dollars
( ;;100.00) , or irriprisonraent in the City Jail for not less than
1G days nor more ti�an 3 r.�onths, or by both such fine and ira-
prisonment, together witri the costs of p-rosecution, unless othez�-
wise stated and rnade a part of thi. Ordinance .
Section 5 . The Contractor, af'ter said buildin.=�s have ceen erected
as descrii��ed in Section 2 �bove , shall place red li�hts and other
w�rning devices along and around s�id builciing, so thdt the public
may be ��T�zrr�ed of t;ie obstructian blocl�,in�� tn�,t po:.�tion of "ellevue
:�treet.
