SECTION 1. That Section 16 of Commission Form Ordinance No. 65�
passed and approved December 15, 1919, and entitled "AN ORD22vTANCE
CONCERNING TIiE COl'�"pEi�SATION� SALARiES� �'EES ANr COr•,�J�ISSIONS OF CITY
OFFICERS" , be and the same is hereby repealed, That Commission Form
Ordinance No. 75 passed and approved the 3rd day of T��ay� 1920� by
�he City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau� Ty:issouri� respecting
fees of the City Sexton and bur•ial perrnits, be and the same is
hereby repealed. That Commission rorm Ordinance No. 992, passed
and approved by the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau�
lJlissouri, the llth day of October� 1944, relating to the regulation
and management of cemeteries owned by the CitZr of Cape Girardeau, be
and tne same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That the following prices shall be charged for
Grave Spaces ancl Lots in the Fairmount Cemetery of the City of Cape
Girardeau:
Single Grave Space - - - - - - - - - - - - - $12.50
One-�ialf (�) Lot (4 Grave Spaces) - - - - - $37. 50
Full Lot (8 Grave Spaces) - - - - - - - - - �70.00
SECTION 3. That the following p2•ices shall be cnarged for
Grave Spaces and Lots in the New Lorimier Cemetery of the City
of Cape Girardeaut
Single Grave Space - - - - - - - _ _ _ _ - �15.00
One-�ialf (�-) Lot (4 Grave Spaces) - - - - �45.00
Full Lot (8 Grave Spaces) - - - - - - - - $90.00
SECTIGN 4. That all Funeral Directors desiring to bury deceased
persons in either the Fairmount or New Lorimier Cemeteries shall
report to the off ice of the Ci:t�T Clerk of the City of Cape G3rar-
deau� i.�issouri� and ma,ke application for a Certificate for the
opening of a Grave . Tnat upon receipt of saicl application the
City Cler�c shall issue a Certii icate shorving the name of �he de-
ceased person, the name of the F'uneral Director, and the name of
the Cemetery in which said deceased person is to be buried.
SECTION 5. That it sriall be the duty of the Funeral Director
to pr�sent said Gertificate to the Sexton of the City of Cape
Girardeau� who shall immediately upon receipt of same place the
Lot Number, Section Nu�nber, and Grave Nurnber on said Certificate
and return same within twenty-four (24) hours to the Office of the
City Clerk, �ho shall place same in a Loose Leaf Book.
SECTION 6. That it shall be the duty of trie Sexton of the
City of Cape Girardeau to open all Graves. There shall be a charge
f or the opening of Graves, which amount shall be paid to the City
Clerk by the Funeral Director not later thari the 1Gtn day of the
manth f ollowing said Grave opening, as f ollows :

Infant 's Grave (3 feet or under) - - - - - � 5.00 - � " G
S�CTION �. That of the amount so received by the City of Cape
Girardeau as provided in Section t�, the City shall receive �3.00 - �� `-"
of said amount and the Sexton shall receive �13.00. That in the
case of Tnfant � s Graves, the City shall receive �1.00 and the
Sexton $4.00. _ � �

5ECTION 8. That the Sexton shall receive no salary from the
City of Cape Girardeau, and shall receive the fees provided in
Section 7 of this Ordinance on the lOth day of each month folloVring
the opening of the Graves. Said i'ee to be paid by check issued by
the City Clerk of the City of Cape Girardeau.
SECTION g. In the opinion of the Council� this Ordinance is
necessary for the i�nrnediate protection and preservation of the
public health, saf ety� convenience and general welf are, and it is
enacted f or that purpose, and shall be in f ull force and effect
from and after its passage.
SECTIOTd 1G. COi�'LICTIiVG ORDIN�i•10E. All Ordinances or parts
of' Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are hereby repealed. If any article, section or part of section,
or paragraph o� this Ordinance is declared invalid or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity�
force or effect of any other article, section or sections, or part
of a section, or paragraph of this Ordinance.
