BE IT ORDAIIuED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF �1�HE CITY OF CAPE GIRAR-
DEAU, 1��ISSOURI� AS FOLLOV'JS:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Commission Form O.rdinance No. 708
passed and approved on the 7thc�.y of October� 1935� shall be
and t he sa�e is hereby amended by adding in paragraph 1 of
said Section following the words "Fourth of July" the words "
"Ne�r Year' s Day� ��iemorial Day or Arr�i s ti c e Day" and ?�y s tr ik-
ing out from the second paragraph of said section �e figure
"7:30�' and inser. ting in lieu thereof the figure "8:00" and by
striking out the figu�es "9�Q�" and inseY�ting in lieu thereof
the figures "8:00" and by striking out from the third paragraph
of the said section the figures �'7:30" and inssrting in lieu
thereof the figures "8:00" and by striking out the figures "6:30"
and inserting in lieu thereof ,the figures "b:00" so that said
section 2 of said Commission �'orm Ordinance No. 708� when so
amended shall read as follows:
"Section 2. HOURS OF CLOSIivG. No business or profes-
sion described in Sec�ion 1 of this ordinance shall be operated
or opened for business on the first day of each week com�nonly
called Sunday� nor on Christmas Day= Thanksgiving Day� Labor
Day or t he Fourth of July� New Year s Day, �lemorial Day or Armis-
tice Day of each year."
No business or profession described in Section 1 of this
ordinance shall be opened for business on Saturday of each week
before t�e hour of 8:00 Ar� nDr be opened for business after the
hour of 8:OC P M of such day.
On all other days � not ahove described in this Section�
no business or profession desc-�ibed in Section 1 of this ordinance
shalll�e opened for business before 8:00 AM nor be opened for bus-
iness after the hour of 6:00 P�I of each such day.
S�CTION �. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed.
SECTION � This ordinance shalltake effect and be in �rce from
and afte ten (10) days after its passa�e.
