tiN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE PAY OF CERTAIN CITYE�PLOYES
�ND R�PEALING �LL ORDINANC�S OR P�R'I'S OF OIlDIiVANCES IlV
CONFLICT HEREU�'ITH.
t'V`AEREAS, Policeman, firemen and o�her employees of the
City of Cape Girardeau have recently been granted in-
creases in salary due to the increased living costs
under existing conditions, NOu�; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIR�IlDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
�ECTION l. That on and after the effective date of this
ordinarice tre salary of the City Clerk and Collector
shall be ��4y00 per year, payable momthly or semi-
monthly:
Th:�t the salary of the Deputy City Clerk
shall be �13�0.00 per year, payable monthly or semi-
monthly:
`1'hat the salary of the City Assessor shall
be 1b�0.00 per year, payable monthly or semi-r�onthly.
SECTION y: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions hereof, are hereby re-
pealed.
SECTION � This or&inance shall take effect and be in
force from and after ten days after its passage, so that
the first r•egular pay check a.ssuea after its effective
date shall be computed at the rate provideu for in this
ordinance .
