SIL�NCING DEVICES OI� ALL �OTOR BO�TS OPERATED 1�ITHIN THE CITY
OF CAPE GIR.�RDEAII, AND PRESCRIBING THE PIIVISHl�d�N�T FOR VIOLATION

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE i,f1AAY0R AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU
�S FOL.LOV`�S: -
1 - BE IT EiVACTED: That all motor boats wh�ther eoiui�ped,
propelled �.nd operated with an inboard or outboard motor, running
and onerating v��i�hin the bo�andaries of the City of Cape Girardeau
or c�ocking or using the docking privileges of the shore line within
the linits of thE said City, shall be equipped �vith a muffler or
other device in order to insure the reasonably silent operation of
the said motor boats.

2 - BE IT FIIRTHE� ENl�CTED: That for the violation of the
above enacted section, the owner or the operator oi such motor boat
not so eauipped and operated shall be su'oject to a fine of not less
than One Doll�.r or more than One Hundred Dollars or thirty days in
the city jail upon a conviction. In addition to the above punish-
�: ment said owner or operator of �. motor boat not so equipped and
�' operated shall be denied the use of docking privileges within the
�
Zimits of the said city.
3 - IT IS ORD�iIT�TED: That this ordinance shall take effect
an.d be operative imrnediately on its passage and approvai by the
� Mayor �. �ouncil.
