many Eitizens the matter oP having a survey made by com-
petent engineers of the coat of constructing a �lunicipal
�lectrie Light and power �lant for the city of Cape Girardeau

�rHERE�S� The City Council did request of numerous Engineering
Firms the submission of sealed b3ds for the doing of this
work together with a atatement showing the qualifications
of such �ngineers� and�
r�HEREAS� �ian.y firms did �ouncil�which�hasccarefully�consider�d
submi� such bids to the

NOVti THEREFURE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
UF CAPE GIRARDEAU MISSOURI� AS FOLLO`JJSs
SECTION 1. The Bid o� the Engineering �'irm of Burns & �c
Donnel of Kansas �ity �issauri� ir. the sum of �1700.00
submitted to the City of Cape Girardeau �issouri for the
preparation of a complete surve� showing the cost of con-
structing a �+iun3cipal Electric ight and Power �lant to
su ply the �ity of �ape Girardeau and the inhabitants thereof

with electric light and power� together with an estima e
of the opeaati$gherebyuby the Council�accepted.pl�t� if
construct �
SECTION 2. The �ayor of the City of �ape Girardeau �issauri
is hereby authorized upon the e�fective d�te of this ordinance
to execute in the name of the City a contract in v�riting
with such firm to do the work at the price above mentioned.
