passed and �.ppraved on t�ie 21st day of January, 1924, entitled, "An �rdinance
E requiring t�e re�istration and license of do�s, establishin� office of Im- ;
pounder and penalty for violation of this Ordinance, and repealing Commission
Form Ordinance No. �6 , passed and appro�ed on the 28th day of June, 1918" be,
and the �a,ne is hereby repeale�3, and a new secti�n enacted in lieu thereof to ;
be nu:mbered Sectian No . 5. `
SECTI!�N 5;� The office of ir�pounder rrf dogs is hereby created whose
3uty sha11 �be to take and impound any dog found running at large in the city
lirnits . After impoundin� suah dog, a notice forthwa.th shall oe posted in the
Poiice Station in the City of Cape Girardeau, showin� a description �f the
dog impounded, the date of impounding and wha.t dis�osition will �oe made of
suah dvg impounded, unless called for wi thin tnree days after ttie lst day
of postin� such notice. lhe Impounder ehal� recei•�e a fee of One Dollar (�1,�J0;
Do3,lar fror� the ownex• of such do� impounded at which time such o�vner sha,11
producs a certificate of re�iatration for such dog issued by the City �lerk
for the perio�� of licen�e then in force before such dog shall be released.
If no person olaims the dog impounded, a fee of One Do11a,r (�1.00) Dollar
shall be paid by the City of Cape Gir,3rdeau t� the Impounder upon final dis� .
