filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ca�e Girardeau, ��iss-
ouri, and duly �.dopted by the City Council on said �day of _,
1924, declarea, among ot�er thin�s, tha,t the improv�ment of �unk].in �treet
from a point 15 f'eet east of the we�t property line of rienderson Avenue
to a point 15 feet west of the east line of ���est �nd Bouievard� by grad-
ing to the esta,blished gr�.de and constructing combined curbs and gutters
and sidewal�s and a conerete pavenent on s�,id street� was a public necess-
i ty.
��REAS By order of the City Council the said xesolution was gub.lished
fox seven consecutive days in a daily newspaper published in tne City of
C�,pe Girardeau and dling the city printing, and that no resident owners
of land that would be liable for the costs of the improve�nent, at the date
of the passage of the �aid Hesolution, within ten days aft�r the last �ub-
licatioM of said Hesolution, f31ed avith the City Clert�, their protest again-
st the pro�osed improver�ent, theret'ore,

SECTIOI�T 1:- That no re�nonstrance has been f iled and the improvement
of tY�.at art of Dunklin atre�t from a point 15 feet east of the wcst proper�r s
line of Henderson A4enue to a point lb feet west of tne east �ine of vuest =�
End Bouleva,rd, by �rading to the e�t�.blisheci grade and constructing cor.�-
bin�d curbs and gutters and sidewalks and a concrete p��veraent on said
street, is a public necessity and that the improvenent be made; tha� tne
General Revenue, in the opinion of the Co��nci1, is not sufficent to pay for
the iznprovement; that the City Clerk advertise for bids to do the worx of
improvement for two consecutive weeKs in a weekly ne�rsp�,per or seven con-
secutive d�.yg in a daily newspaper published and doing the city p rinting
in the City i3f Cape Girardeau.
The Contract price for doing sa,id woric of imy rovei.�ent shall not ex-
eeed the estimate therefor m...de by the �ity �ngineer. i�he contract for
the said improvement shall be fully perforr�ed according to plans and specifi-
cations therefor prepared by the Ci ty Engineer and duly f iled i�n the off'ice
of the City Clerk. The contract shall be let to the lowest and �best
biddex, in writing, acco;npanied by a certified check f'or One Hundred
Dol�rs to be deposited �xith the City Clerk and in all respeets the per-
for�ance of the work shall comply with the requirements of �ommission
Form Ord�.nance No. 50, passed and approved by the City Council, June 16th,
1919. t�hen t�ie improvement is completed, according to contract, plans, .
spe�ifications and Commi.ssion Form Ordinance No . 50, accepted by the t;ity
Engineer and Su�erintendant of Streets, in writing, filed �vith the uity �
Clerk, �pecial 1ax Bills again�t t,he property fronting and abutting on '
the improve��ent shall be issued and delivered to the contractor in payment -�
for said work of improve:�ent.
