the 12th day of June, 1925, adopted a Resolution declaring it necessary
to improve that part of I'ountain Stree� bettiRreen �road��,y Boulevard and
�herriis �treet frorn the concrete paveraen-� on Broadway Boulevard to tne
concrete }�ave:.��ient on the north side of Therflis Street, by �radin� same to
the sstablisned �rade, constructin� curbs and gutters and constructing
betyreen ou-tters a six inch concre�e pavement, which Resolutian gave no-
tice to the ozvners of pro�ert;;� �.butl:in� on tr�.at �art o#' said street pro-
posed �o be improved, who desired to protest a�ainst such improvernen�, to
a�pear �before the Council at ten o 'elock A. M. on �Vsdnesday, June 24th,
1925, to be rieara on �:l�e question of the necessitzT of tne rvor�-� sou��it to
be done, and.,

thereafter and on the 25th day of June , 1J25 , passed a Resolution reaf-
firmin� the necessity for improvin� that part of ��ountain Street betv;reen
i�road��ray Boulevard and `�hernis Street froin the concrete paver,lent on Broad-
�ra.y :Fioulevard to the conc�ete paver,ient on the north side of Thenlis �tree� ,
by whic�i Resolution it vaas declared that the result of the hearing be�ore
the Council on June 24tii, 1925, was a reaffirrnance of the necessit5= for the
irrr�rove�;lent of Fountain Stree4 as pxoPosed in said Resolution of June 12tYi,

the established grade, constructing curbs and gutters and cnnstructing be-

I, A. P. Behrens, City Clerk of the City of Cane Girardeau, Missouri, do hereby certify that on the 20th day of July, 1925,
\V. P. M:cGeorge & Compiny contracted with the City of C�pe Girardeau for �radinb and constructinb curbs and gutters and a
concrete pavement on that part of Fountain 5treet from Broadway Boulevard to Themis Street, whi�ch contract wf�s made in
pursuance of an ori�;inal Resolution declaring said iinprovement necessary, .passed on the 12th day of June, ]925, and by au-
thority of Commission Form, Ordinance �o. 349, approved June 30th, 1925, authorilzing said work, �:�nd Commission Form Ordi-
nance No. ?28, approved May Sth, 152�, the general street pacing ordinance of said city, and the work under said contract has
been done in accordance with s��id ordinances, and that the contract has been properly executed and the work accepted by the
city, as appears from the repoi•t of the City Englneer anu� the Superintendent of Streets, duIy approved and :�dopted by the
City Council at a meeting thereof held on the 14th d,ay of October, 1925, and this tax bill is issued in accordance with the pro-
visions of Commission Form Ordinance No. 331, passed and approved on the 14th day of October, 19'25, assessing the cost of
said improvement.
I also certify that the contract price for said �rading, constructing concrete gutters and paving, and for tHe engineerinb
and inspection services on same, is �3256.39, and the total contract price for curbs is $172.7a, and for the purpose of payin�

This Special Tax Bili bears interest at the rate of eight (8) per cent per annum from thirty (30} days after its date and is

sooner p1id, and in the event suit is Urought to enforce �uch lien, then until the expiration of such litigation.
