25, passed and �.pproved June IBth, 1918, entitled, "An Ordinance � o
license, tax and regulate sundry businesses, employments, agencies,
amusements. vehicles, etc'� and to repeal Ordinance No. 1I.50, �assed
and approved the 16th day of July, 1917, and Ordinance iJo. 1175, passed
and �pproved on the 17th day of Dec�mber, 1g17, and to enact in lieu
thereof a new section to be numbered Section 87.
SECTION•ri87:- CONCERTS, LECTITRES, ETC. , OUT DOORS.
For each exhibition, concert lecture or entertainment of any
kind, el.ectrical exhibition, sales or nostrums, including such where
elowns and comedians or bo�h or either one connected with lectures
carried on within canvass walls, or in t,he open or on vacant lots, or
car, or on a flat boat I.ying at the river front or at the wharf, a
license tax of Five Dollars (�5.00} per dsy. This shall not include
concerts or �hows given in a floating opera house mentioned in a ection i
80 above.
Medicine shows are hereby prohibited and it is made a misde-
meanor to give or offer to �ive a medicine show �rithin the limits of
the City of Cape Girardeau. Any one violating the provisions of t his
section, upon conviction, s hall be fined in a sum not le�s than Twenty-
Five Dollars (�25.00), nor more than one �iundred Dollars, ��100.00).

SECTION 2:- This Ordinance shal�l be in force and take effect �
from and adter its passage. �
