ASSISTANT CITY ATTORN�'Y OF TH:� CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU ,
NiISSOURI AND PROVIDING FOR HTS APPOINT1�iENT AND PRE-
SGRI BING HI S DUTI ES AND QUALI FI CATI ONS.
BE IT ORDAIN�D BY TH�; CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI � AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: There is hereby created the office of Assistant
City Attorney of the f:ity of Cape Girardeau� r]issouri.
SECTION 2: The Asaistant City �lttorney shall possess all
of the qualifications of the City Attorney and shall be empowered
to perform any of the duties of the City Attorney at the direction
of the City Attorney.
SECTION 3: The Assistant City Attorney shall be appointed
by the City Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the City
Council, and shall receive an annual salary in an amount to be
fixed by ordinance.
SECTION �,: That this ordi`r�ance is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety and
shall go into effect on November l� 1955 .
Passed and approved this 37-st day of October� 1955 .
