resurfaced in accordance ti�.th said Co�:aiissiotl Forrn Ordinanee P1os. S00 and
1253, as �'ro jeci P?o. 10�, in said District P;o. _�_�,
SECTIOiV 2. The following �+rork shall be done: Remove and replace the
base where found necessax�r, remove and replace the existing asphalt surfacing
or bring the e�sting low places in the surface to the proper grade and contour
with new asphaltic concrete or asphalt penetration course, where found
necessary, and place a seal. coat consisting of emulsified or cut-back
asphalt and crushed stone or other suitable ag�regate, said seal coat to
be in one or more applications and of a quantity and quality as specified
by the City Engineer.
Si:�CTTOIJ 3. Swid repairing �,nd resurfaci.ng of said street shall be done by
the Departra�nt o.f Public .?oi'ks of the Cit;� of Cape Girardeau, l�iissouri,
under the direction and supervision of the Cit�- En;ineer, so that the cost
of such repairin�; a,r1d resurfacing sliall not el;ceed an anwunt ec�ual to
sixty (00) ca��ts per iront foot of property frontin�; and abuiting on said
nortion of said street so i:a;�roved.

cost of said work, incluc�ul� pa�ni,ent at contract y�rices of any portions
thereof done by contract, and sucn cost sh�:ll be c;efraycc� by a special t�
to be assessed ir. iavo�� o:� the City os Cape C-i�arcleau, I�iissouri, a�ainst
�;he property frontiin� and abuttin;• on said portion of s�,id street in the
proportion i,hat the linear fect oi each lot or tract froi�tin; and abtittin�

repaired and resurfaced.
S�CTIOT? 5. Upon the coi�i-�letion of saicl ��Jorl: the said Ci�y �n�ineer shall
re;�ort to the Col:ncil the total cost of s�.id repairing and resurfacin� of
said ?ortion of said street. the tota7_ number of linear feet oi t�roperty
frontin� and aUuttin� thereon, and the proportionate share of such total
cost cPiargeaale a`�ainst each lot, tract, and parcel oi land frontin� and
abuti,in� on said nortion of said street, in accordance with the �rovisions
of -chis ordinanc�.
SEC'iI�I� 6. Upon ti�e filin�; of such re�ort bJ the City :�n"ineer, the City
Council shall e1;ar.�ine the sane, and if s�.id re.�ort b� found correct, and the
total cos�� of said repair�_�j a�id r�:urfacin� does not exceed 50 cents per
f ront foot o.z all of �;he ,�ropert f frontin� a,nd abuttin� u��on the said portion
of suid street . the Co��ncil shall levy and assess a sp�cial �a;: a�ainst said
pro�erty in accordance t�rith said re�ort, Said ta:: bills shall be sold for
not less than their face value, acid assigned b� the City Clerk to any
purchaser or �u-rchasers -chereof.
