AN ORDINANCE REPEALING A PART OF SECTION 23 OF
CO�SSION FORM ORDINANCE N0. 566, PASSED AND APPROVED
APRIL 25, 1929, AS AP�IENDED, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THERE-
OF A NEW PART OF SAZD SECTIO�t
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUPICTL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, P�IISSOURI AS FOLLOT�S:
SECTION l. That that part of Section 23 of Commission Form
Ordinance No. 566, passed and approved April 25, 1929, as amended,
reading as follows: "The City Council may from time to time, on
its own motion or on petition, a.fter at least fifteen (15 ) days
public notice and hearmng as provided by law," be and the same is
hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That in lieu of that portion of Section 23 above
set out and repealed there is enacted a new portion to read as
follows:
srThe City Council may from tmme to time, on its own
motion or on petition, after at l�ast twelve (12) days
public notice and hearing as provided by law, such
notice to be given by publishing notice thereof in a
daily newspaper a least three (3 ) times, the fmrst of
which sha11 be published at least twelve (12) days prior
to the date of such public hearing and the last
publication to be not l�ss than three (3) days prior to
the date of such hearing,".
SECTION 3. That said Commission Form Ordinance No. 566 is
not changed, modified or amended in any other respect and the
same is hereby ratified and confirmed as herein amended, and
all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its passage and approval.
