AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A DEED FROM WILLI.4N1 LEON NCLAUGHLIAI FOR
TIi�; EXTFNSION OF MADISON STRE�+.T IN LOT 4, R. L. WILSON�S SUBDIVISION
OF OUTL•OT 74, IN THL CITY OF CAPE GIR,ARllEtiU, MISSOURI.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
heretofore accepted a �uit Claim Deed from William Leon McLaughlin, and
wife, dated the lst day of riay, 1951, for the purpose of opening Madison
Street, w�est of Perryvil.le Road, through Lot l�, of R. L. Wilson 1 s Subdivis-
ion, for a distance oP 150 feet, and,
WHEREAS, the said Leon NicLau�hlin to further develop his property
in said Lot 4, for residential purposes, and wishes to extend Madison
Avenue west an additional 230 feet,
NO'rd THEREFORE, BE IT O:�.DAINED BY TH:E CITY COUPJCII.� OF THC CITY OF
CAPE GIRtiRDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a Quit Claim Deed, dated Febru,ary 19, 1953, from
William Leon NicLaughlin, to the City of Cape Girardeau, Nlissouri, a
municipal corporation, and convey-ing the following described land:
Part of Lot �., H. L. Wilson's Subdivision of Outlot 71�, in U. S.
Private Survey No. 2199, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
described as follows:
Commence at the southeast corner of Lot 4, in the center of Perry-
ville Road; thence N. 10° 30� W., along the center line of Perr3rville
Road, 155 feet; thence N. $1° W., parall�el.;to the south line of Lot 4,
to a point which is 20 feet west of the center line of Perryville R.oad,
measured perpendicular to said center lin e; thence continue �;. S1° W.,
parallel to the south line of Lot 4, 150 feet to a point of beginnirg
of the land herein conveyed, s�c:e being the end of Madison Street as
heretofore conveyed to the City of Cape Girardeau, N:issouri� by �uit
Claim Deed as recorded in Book 151 at page 22 in the records of' the
Recorder of Deeds of Cape Giraxdeau County, N,issouri; therice continue
N. 81° W., parallel to the south line of Lot l�, 230 feet; thence N. 10°
30� W., parallel to the center line of Perryville Road, 45 feet; thence
S. 81° E., parallel to the south line of Lot �., 230 feet to the end of
A�iadison Street as above referred to; the,nce S. 10° 30� E., parallel to
the center line of Perryville �oad, k5 feet to the point of beginnin g,
be and the same is hereby accepted by the City of Cape Girardeau, N,issouri.
Sectiori 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to transnst said
�!uit Clai.m Deed to the Recorder of Deeds of Cape Girardeau County
for recording.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and ef�'ect from and
after its passage.
