BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUT?CIL GP THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU�
MISSOURI, AS FOLLO�dS:
SECTION 1. That Section �1� of Aldermanic Form Ordinance No.
1116� passed and approved on the 23rd. day of October� 1916, entitled
�A.n ordinance defining wr.at shall constitute misdemeanors or offences
against the �ity of Cape Gi.rardeau and providing penalties therefor'�
be and it is hereby in all things repealed and a new section, to be
known as Section 51�� is hereby enacted in lieu thereof� which said
Section shall read as follows:
"Section SJ�. Petit Larcen . Every person who
shall be convicted of stealing, taking and carrying
away arry money, goods� rights in action, or other
personal propert3r or valuable thing whatsoever, of
any value� and belonging to another� shall be deemed
guilty of petit larceny and a misdemeanor� and upon
conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less
than One Lollar (�1.00) nor more than One Hundred
Dollaxs (�p100.00)� or by imprisonment in the city
jail for a period not exceeding three (3) months� or
by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION �. This Ordinan ep shall be in full forc� and effect
from and after ten days after the date of its passage.
