S�CTIOi; 1. Th�.t the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
I�iissouri, has by resolution in v�miti.n;, duly acioptec� at a nieetin�; of the
said Council held on i;he ll��af of �u�e , ly� , found and
declared it to be necessary to improve that part of Yacific Street .
in the City of Cape Girardeau, Nlissouri, from the exi.sting concrete
paveanent at the center of Hickory Street to a F:,oint 10 feet south of the
center of Hackberry Street
by doin� the necessary gradi.r� and shaping of the existing gravel surface,
adding crushed stone and placing an asnhaltic concrete surface appro�znately
20 feet wide and approxunately 2 inches thick

alon� which property subject to a,ss�ssrnent for said improvement totals

for seven consecutive issues, �nd that rorc: than ten c�.Js haTre elapsed since
the la,st -��ub1_ication thercoi is: said ,�aper, anc� that a ma.jority of thc resident
oimers of' la.nus liable for the cost of said ir.iprovement at the clate oi passa�e
of said resolution a_Zd tilho also otim a n�:�.jority oi the front feet frontino and
abuti,i�z� on sazd irn��rove���r.t did no� within t�n days af�er sa.;_d last date of
pul�lication of saic� resolutiori, ��ile with the Gity Clerl; their protest a�ainst

being of the opi.�zion that the izecessity still exists for the improvement of
said Pacific Street pro�osed in said resolution, here'�y

by law and ordinance for sa,id in�_�rovenent have been complied with and that it
has thereb�T acruircd a,uthorit;;� to order said im�rovement �nd it now hereby
orde•rs µnd directs tha� that part of I'acifie Street in the
City of Canc G�rardcau, I�iissouri, eomraencin�; at �he existin� conerete pavement
�t the cexiter of Hickory Street and exteiading to a point 1� feet south oF the
center of Hackberr� Street
