AN ORDINANCE AMENDING COI��IISSION FORM ORDINANC�.
N0. 566, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 25th D1�� OF
AP�IL, 19�9, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE w�.ST
MOUNT MOTEL PROPERTY, BEING PART OF OUTLOTS 7�
AND 77, IN THE CITY OF CAPE GI�tARDEAU, MIS50URI,
FROM � CLASS F, COMMER�IAL DISTRICT, TO A CLASS
I, LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has received an application from thecxaner of the
her�inafter described property requesting that th� zoning of
the same be changed from a Class F, Commercial District,
to a Class I, Light Industry District, in an area described
as follows:
TT�e 1dest Mount Motel Property, being part of
Outlots 76 and 77 in the City of Cape Girard�au,
l�iissouri
and
WHEREAS, public notice oi such application for such
change was giv�n as was provided by Commission Forcn Ordinance
No. 566 and a public hearing was held by the City Council on
December 8, 1958; and
WHEREAS, said application has been submitted to the
City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and
report, and said City Planning and Zoning Commission reported
and recommended that said proper�y be rezoned in ac�ordanc�
with said application; and
t�iEREAS, no property owners owning property adjacent or
near �o the property included �i�.hin such proposed change have
pro��sted such change; and
WHLR�.AS, the City Counci�l finds that it would be to the
best interest of a11 property owners concerned for said property
to be rezoned to a Class I, Light Industry District, NOW
THEREFORE,
B�?. IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, P�IISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That Section 2 of Cornmission Form Ordinance
566, passed and approved on the 25th day of April, 1949, sha11
be, and the same is hereby amended to change the boundary of

the pres�nt Class I, Light Industry District so as to include
therein the hereinafter described property, which said property
is hereby rezoned from a Class F, Commercial District, to a
C1ass I, Light Industry District, to-wit:
The ��est Mount Motel Property, being part of
Outlots 76 and 77 in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri.
SECTION 2: The City Couricil hereby d�clares that the
proper�y described in Section 1 above is at tne present
particularly suited �or the uses and purposes of a Class I,
Light Industry District and that the changes autho-rized hereby
are r�asonable and in reasonabl� conformity wi�h th� existing
use and value of tl�� immediately surrounding prop�-r�y.
S�CTION 3: r:Zl ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with trze provisions her�of are hereby repealed, but
alI other provisions of Commission Form Ordinance I�o. 566 not
amended or repealed hereby shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 4: Tlzis ordinan.ce shall tal:e ef�ect and be in
force from and after ten (10} ciays after its passage and
approval.
