N0. 1Z89, PASSED AND EIPPROVED ON THE ?_8th DAY
OF FEBRUAFtY, 1949, BY ADDING TO SECTION 57
THEREOF, AS AMEI�TDED, THE AUTHORITY FOR THE CHIEF
OF POLICE TO ERECT ADDITIONAL STOP SIGNS �1rTD
PROVIDING A PENALTy FO�Z VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That Commission Forrn Ordinanc4 No. I189,
passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Cape
G�rardeau, Missouri, on the 28th day of F�bruary, 1949, be,
and th� same is hereby amended by adding to Section 57 thereof,
as amend�d, Sub-section .�.5�, which shall follow immediately
after Sub-section �—� and which s�iall read as follows :
"At tize intersection of Keller Avenue and
Themis Street, a sign sPzall be located at o-r
near the northwest corner of the intersection
with the word 'STOP' facing north, and a
sign shall be located at; or near the south-
east corner of tfie intersection with tize word
'STOP' facing south."
SECTION 2: Any person who s'rlall violate any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine
of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) , or imprisanment in the city jail for not less
than ten (lQ) days nor more tfian thr�e (3) months , or by both
such fine and imprisonment, together with the costs of prosecution
unless otherwise stated and made a part of this ordinance.
