AN ORDINANCE REPEALING COMMISSION FORM ORDINANCE N0. 1195
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 16th DAY OF MAY, 1949 , AND
AMENDING SECTION 7 OF COMMISSION FORA�I ORDINANCE N0. 2012
PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 31ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1959 ,
FIXING THE RATE OF INTEREST ON SPECIAL TAX BILLS AND
PROVIDING IN LIEU THEREOF RATE OF INTEREST AT 8/ PER
ANNUM AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLATJSE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, P�lISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l . Commission Form Ordinance 1195 passed and approved
the 16th day of May, 1949 , is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Hereafter the rate of interest on all special tax
bills issued by the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , unless other—
wise fixed by ordinance , shall be 8% per annum.
SECTION 3. Section 7 of Commission Form Ordinance 2012 passed
and approved on the 31st day of August , 1959 , is hereby amended so
that the last sentence of said Section 7 shall read as follows :
"Such special tax bill shall bear interest from
sixty days after date at 8% per annum."
SECTION 4. The pravisions of this ordinance being necessary
for the preservation of the public peace , health and safety, this
ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and approval .
