ORDINANCE N0. 11�%2 PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 31ST
DAY OF MARCH, 19�9 , ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING
COMMISSION FORM ORDINANCES N0 . 647, No. 653 , No.
683 , No. 685 , No. 827, No. 1130 AND No. 1164, AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
FIRE LIMITS, REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONSTRUCTION ,
ALTERATION, EQUIPMENT , OR REMQV,4L OF BUILDINGS OR
STRUCTURE5 IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI"
BY INCLUDING ADDITIONAL AREA IN THE ESTABLISHED FIRE
LIMITS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Section 96 of Commission Form Ordinance No. 1192
passed and approved on the 31st day of March , 1949 , which section
established the fire limits of the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri
is hereby amended to include the following described land :
A strip of land 200 feet in width lying 200 feet west
of the west right of way line and 200 feet east of the
east right—of—way line of U. S. Route No. 61 , beginning
at the South corporate limits of the City as established
in the year 1947 and extending to the South corporate
limits of the City as established in the year 195$ ; als� �
a strip of land 200 feet wide north of the north right—of
way line and 200 feet south of the south right—of—way line
of Missouri State Route No. 74, beginning at the existing
fire limits west of Sprigg Street as described in said
Commission Form Ordinance No. 1192 , and extending to a
point 200 feet east of the east right—of—way line of U.
S. Route no. 61 .
Passed and approved this 21st day of September, 1959.
