AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DEED FROM LAMBERT C .
' DRURY AND LORRAINE V . DRURY, HUSBAND AND WIFE
TO PART OF OUTLOT 75 U. S . P . SURVEY 2199 IN
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , FOR THE
EXTENSION OF "HOWELL STREET" AND "MARIETTA
STREET" AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CORRECTING AN
ERROR IN THE DESCRIPTION IN A PREVIOUS DEED
TO THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU DATED NOVEI�9BER
10, 1958 AND RECORDED IN BOOK 183 , PAGE 131 .
WHEREAS, Lambert C. Drury and Lorraine V . Drury , husband and
wife , by quit claim deed dated the 17th day of April , 1959 , have
conveyed to the City of Cape Girard� u , hlissovri for street pur—
poses , for the extension of "Howell Street" and "Marietta Street"
and for the purpose of correcting the description in a previous
quit claim deed to the City of Cape Girardeau , 1�4issouri dated
the lOth day of November, 1958 , recorded in Book 183 at Page 131 ,
the following described real estate situated in the City of Cape
Girardeau , County of Cape Girardeau and State of Missouri , to—wit :
Part of Outlot No. 75 , in U. S. P. Survey No. 2199 ,
described as follows : Begin at the northwest corner
of Lot 1 , Block 4, Alanna Heights , on the east line
of Howell Street ; thence west 50 feet to the north—
east corner of Lot 1 , Block 5 , ,4lanna Heights , on the
west line of Howell Street ; thence N. 24� 42' E. , and
with the extension of the west line of Howell 5treet ,
as said street exists in Alanna Heights , 470. 3 feet
to the extension of the west line of Howell Street ,
as said street exists along the east side of Randol
�econd Subdivision ; thence N. 13� 34' W. , along the
latter extension of the west line of Howell Street ,
to the southeast corner of Randol Second Subdivision ;
thence in an easterly direction to the southwest
corner of Lot 7 of the Ellis Subdivision , and the
east line of Howell Street , from which corner the
south line of Cape Rock Drive bears N. 13� 34' W. ,
550. 0 feet ; thence S . 130 34' E. , 184. 1 feet ; thence
in an easterly direction along a line , which line is
to become the north line of Marietta Street , to a
point on the east line of Outlat 75 , from which point
the southwest corner of Brothers ' Subdivision bears
S . 9° W. , 28.6 feet ; thence S. 9° W. , along the east
line of Outlot 75 50 feet ; thence in a westerly direction
parallel to and 50 feet south of the north line of
Marietta Street , above described , to a point on the
east line of Howell Street ss same is extended north
from Alanna Heights ; thence south along the extension
of the said east line of Hawell Street to the point
of beginning.

WHEREAS , the City of Cape Girardeau , Missouri , desires to
accept said quit claim deed and have the same recorded ; and
WHEREAS, the said City desires to name the streets "Howell
Street" and "Marietta Street" as described in said deed ,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 : That the City of Caee Girardeau , Missouri does
hereby accept a quit claim deed dated April 17, 1959 from Lambert
C. Drury and Lorraine V. Drury , husband and wife , to the follow—
ing described real estate situate in the City of Cape Girardeau ,
County of Cape Girardeau , and State of Missouri , to—wit :
Part of Outlot No. 75 , in U. S. P. Survey No. 2199 ,
described as follows : Begin at the northwest corner
of Lot l , Block 4 , Alanna Heights , on the east line of
Howell Street ; thence west 50 feet to the northeast
corner of Lot 1 , Block 5 , Alanna Heights , on the west
line of Howell Street ; thence N. 24° 42 ' E. , and with
the extension of the west line of Howell Street , as
said street exists in Alanna Heights , 470.3 feet to
the extension of the west line of Howell Street , as
said street exists along the east side of Randol
Second Subdivision ; thence N. 13� 34' W. , along the
latter extension of the west line of Howell Street ,
to the southeast corner of Randol Second Subdivision ;
thence in an easterly direction to the southwest
corner of Lot 7 of the Ellis Subdivision , and the east
line of Howell Street , from which corner the south
line of Cape Rock Drive bears N. 130 34' W. , 550. 0
feet ; thence S. 13° 34' E. , 184. 1 feet ; thence in an
easterly direction along a line , which line is to be—
come the north line of Marietta Street , to a point on
the east line of Outlot 75 , from which point the south—
west corner of Brothers ' Subdivision bears S. 9° W. ,
28.6 feet ; thence S. 9° W. , along the east line of Out—
lot 75 , 50 feet ; thence in a westerly direction , parallel
to and 50 feet south of the north line of Marietta
�treet , above described , to a point on the east line
of Howell Street as same is extended north from Alanna
Heights ; thence south along the extension of the said
east line of Howell Street to the point of beginning.
and that said deed be recorded in the office of the Recorder of
Dzeds of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri .
5ECTION 2: That the above described real estate shall be named
"Howell Street" and "Marietta Street", as designated in the said
deed and in the above description.
