AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO J . E .
LATTA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC . ON SEWAGE DISPOSAL
PROJECT
WHEREAS , on the 3rd day of April , 1963 , the City of Cape Girardeau
entered into a contract with J . E . Latta Construction Company, Inc . for
the conslruction of the sewage disposal project , in which contract said
contractor agreed to complete the work by July 14 , 1964 , and
WHEREAS , said J . E . Latta Construction Company, Inc . has advised
that it has been delayed twenty—six ( 26) days in working on said
project because of the strike of Local 513 of the International Union
of Operating Engineers through no fault of said contractor ; now therefore ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CA PE GIRARDEAU ,
iU�ISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section l . The completion date of the contract with the J. E .
Latta Construction Company, Inc . in completing the work under the
sewage disposal contract entered into on the 3rd day of April , 1963 ,
is hereby extended to August 9 , 1964.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and approval .
