AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF CAPE GIRARDEAU , MISSOURI RELATING
TO ZONING , BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF BLOCKS l , 2
AiVD 3 OF RANNEY PLACE TO " r" LIGHT INDUSTRY, AND
BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN LANDS LYING IN
OUTLOTS 56 and 57 , U . S . P. SURVEY no. 2199 TO
"I" LIGHT INDUSTRY, AND A PARCEL OF LAND IN U . S .
P. SURVEY No . 222 TO "I " , LIGHT INDUSTRY.
WHEREAS , the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
tha�t all the lands described in Section 1 of this ordinance be rezoned
to " I", light industry, and
WHEREAS , public notice of such proposed change in zoning was
given as prescribed by Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of Cape
Girardeau , Missouri and public hearing was held in conformity with
such notice by the City Council on the 17th day of December , 1962,
now therefore ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU ,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of Cape Girardeau ,
Missouri is hereby amended to change the boundary of the present Class
"I " , Light Industry , so as to include the hereinafter described property,
to-wit :
( a ) All of Blocks l , 2 and 3 , Ranney Place .
(b) A parcel of land located in Out Lot 56 and 57 ,
U . S . P. Survey 2199 ,+City of Cape Girardeau ,
Missauri , described as follows : Start at the south-
east corner of Block 2 of Hathaway ' s Subdivision
of a part of Outlot 87 , U . S . P. Survey 2199 , said
corner being on the line between Outlots 57 and
87 in said survey and is South 6° 44 ` West , 1097. 1
feet from the northwest corner of said Outlot 57 ;
thence South 6° 44 ` West 56. 0 feet to an inter-
section of the west line of Outlot 57 with the
south line of Good Hope Street for a beginning
corner ; thence North 89° 30 ' East along said south
line 281 . 60 feet for a corner ; thence South 0°
30 ' East 410 feet ; thence South 89° 30 ' West 5 . 0
feet ; thence South 0° 30 ' East 70 feet ; thence
South 89° 30 ' West 80 feet ; thence South 0° 30 '
East 178. 9 feet to a point in the north line of
Bloomfield Road; thence South 69° 5 ` West along
said north line of Bloomfield Road a distance
of 313 . 87 feet to a corner ; thence North 6° 44 `
East 774 . 87 feet to the beginning corner .

( d) A tract of land lying in the county and city of
Cape Girardeau , State of Missouri , containing
2� .455 acre_.S of U . S . Survey No . 222, Twp. 30 N.
Range 13 E .w; described by metes and bounds as
follows : Begin at the Northwest corner of said
Survey No . 22�, run thence S . 7° 30 ' W. with the
West line of said Survey 825 feet to a corner , ,
thence S . 74° 56 ' E . 1086.3 feet to a corner ,
thence N. 2° 23 ` E . 983 feet to the intersection
of the West right—of—way line of U . S . Highway
No . 61 , with the North line of said Survey No . � _
222, and thence N 82° 30 ' W, 1004. 3 feet to the
point of beginning , containing 21 .455 acres more
or less .
Section 2. The City Council hexeby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suited for the uses and purposes of Class "I " , Light
Industry, and that such changes authorized hereby are reasonable
and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and value of the
immediately surrounding property.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
