AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 5ECTION 30-41 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU RELATING
TO THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, as follows:
SECTION l, Section 30-41 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau is amended by the substitution of the following
o r dinanc e:
"SECTION 30-41. Membership: Qualifications: Appointment:
Removal: The City Planning and Zoning Commission shall consist of
seven (7) persons who shall be citizens qualified by knowledge or
experience to act on questions pertaining to the development of the
City. Three (3) other persons shall serve as an Advisory Board to
the City Planning and Zoning Commission and such persons shall act
in an advisory capacity only and shall have no vote in any action that
shall be taken by tlle Commission. The City Engineer shall be an ex
officio member of the Commission and shall act in an advisory
capacity only and shall have no vote and shall take no part in the
deliberations of the Commission. Any member of the Commission
or of the Advisory Board may be removed by the Mayor or by the
majority vote of the City Council at any time. "
5ECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
