AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18-4 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIR.ARDEAU, MO. ,
RELATING TO THE CURFEW
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIR.ARDEAU, MISSOURI, as follows:
SECTION 1. 5ection 18-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau is hereby amended by the deletion of all of present 5ection
18-4 and the addition of new 5ection 18-4, as follows:
"5ection 18-4 Curfew: No person of the age of 15 years or over
shall be upon any public street, alley or other public place at
any time between 1:00 A. M, and daylight of that morning unless
such person is known by the police to be a person of good repute
or can give a satisfactory explanation for his presence at such
time. No person under the age of 15 years shall be upon any
public Street, alley or other public place at any time between
9:30 P. M, and daylight the next morning unless sent on an errand
by his parents or guardian or accompanied by an adult. "
SECTION 2. This ordinance sha.11 be in fu11 force and effect ten days
after its passage and approval.
