AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 5ECTION 15-17 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU RELATING
TO THE ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE5
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MTSSOURI, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection C of 5ection 15-17 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Cape Girardeau, is hereby repealed and the following sub-
section is adopted in lieu thereof:
"Subsection C - Hearing: Order to Abate. If after hearing all the
evidence the City Council determines that a nuisance exists, it shall
direct the Health Officer or Chief of Police to order the person to
abate the nuisance within 20 days or within such other time as the
Council may deem reasonable. Such order shall be served in a
manner provided in this section for the service of the order to show
cause. '�
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fQrce ten days
after its passage and approval.
