AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMEND-
MENT NO. 1 TO CON5TRUCTION CONTRACT WITH GAMMON, -
BARTER AND ZELLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR
THE FURNISHING OF CEMENT FOR IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE
CAPE GIRARDEAU MUNICZPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, The City of Cape Girardeau entered into a construction con-
tract March 6, 1967 with Gammon, Barter and Zeller Construction Company,
Inc. as principal and 5eaboard Surety Company as security, whereby said
Construction Company would make certain improvements for the Cape Girardeau
Municipal Airport, known as Federal Aid Project No. 9-23-036-03, and
WHEREAS, The City has now elected to furnish and deliver to the con-
struction site all cement for the construction of Item 5, Concrete Pavement,
9 inches thick, and Item 6, Concrete Pavement, 11 inches thick, and desire
to enter into Amendment No. 1 to said Contract of March 6, 1967, setting out
such additional agreement, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Tha.t Amendment No. 1 to Construction Cantract, Runways
10-28 - Taxiways - Apron Expansion at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport,
Federal Aid Project No. 9-23-036-03, which is an Amendment to the Contract
made and entered into March 6, 1967, by and between Gammon, Barter and
Zeller Construction Company, Inc. as principal and Seaboard Surety Company
as security, and the City of-Ca.pe Girardeau, is hereby adopted and the proper
officials of the City of Cape Girardeau are directed to execute said Amendment
No. 1 and all attachments thereto.
SECTTON 2. In order to satisfy the emergency of amending said contract of
March 6, 1967 immediately, and in order to insure immediate safety to the citizens

of Cape Girardeau, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
