ORI7INANCES OF' THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU HAVING T4

WHERE�,S, Section 36. 13 of th� General Ordinances of the City of
Cape C,irard�su as it app�rtain� to fireworks, does not specifically d�sign,at�
the charge for lic�nse feee far the sa�le fih�r�of or the time when such fireworks
xnay be used and a policy has been #ollowed, not specific�lly the terms of �ny
ardir�nce, and
WHEREAS� Such policy ehould be incorporated into said Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IZ' ORDAINED BY THE C�'JUNCIL OF THE CITY dF CAPE GIRARD�AU
AS F�LLOtt�"S:
Section 1. Section 3b. 13 of t�ae General Ordinances of the City of C�pe
Girardeau ie hereby amended to incl�de the following sub-section�:
"C, A11 peraong, firms or c��rporation� who have paid for a
merchant's licenee aad are iri good �tanding with thc City af
Cape Girardeau ma►y sell fireworke as deseribed in Se�tion
3b. 13 of the Gener�l Ordinan�es of the City of Ca pe Girardeau
without obtaining additional licensea or autharity therefor. A11
othor persona must obtain fr�m the Clerk of th� City af Cape
Girardeau a license fae for which such persan ehall pay the
sum t�f $10. 00 authorizin� �uch person to sell authorize�d fire-
worl��s bet�v�en �'une 20th and July 4th of each y�ar and euch
lic�n�e muet be purchased for each year of operaEion� within
the r3�signated times. No mercha.t�t possessin� a nzerehant's
licenee i�sued by the City of Gap�e'Girardeau may se11 firevvorks

Section 2. The City Council h�reby finds that th� public health and
welfare neces�itates the immediate l�assage and approval of thie Qrdinance.
