AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF TH E GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, BY CHANG-
ING THE ZOlVING OF A STRIP OF LAND LOCATED IN OUTLOT
77, U. 5. P. SURVEY 2199, TOWN5HIP 31 N. , RANGE 13 EAST,
SHOWN AS A PART OF TRACT NO. 8 ON A PLAT OF A SUB-
DIVISION F OR T HE KLAGE S HEIR 5 OF PAR T OF SAID OUT LOT
77, TO CLASS F COMMERCIAL DI5TRICT
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recom-
mended tha.t all of the property described in Section 1 of this Ordinance
should be rezoned Class "F" Commercial District, and
WHEREAS, public notice of such change in zoning was given as
provided by Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of the City ofCape
Girardeau and public hearing was held in conformity with such notice
by the City Council on May 3, 1967,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, as follows:
SECTION l. Chapter 25 of the general ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau is hereby amended to change the boundary of the present
Class "F" Commerical Diatrict so as to include the following described
property:
A tract of land in Outlot 77, U. S. P. 5urvey 2199, Township
31 North, Range 13 East, in Cape Girardeau County, Mo. ,
known as a portion of tract No. 8 on a plat of a subdivision
for the Klages heirs of part of said Outlot 77 in said Survey,
Township and Range, according to plat of such subdivision,
recorded in Book 4 at Page 4 in the Recorder's Office at
Jackson, Missouri, described more fully as follows:
Begin at the Southeast corner of said tract No. 8 of the plat
of the subdivision for the Klages heirs on the general southwest
right-of-way line of U. S. Route No. 61, which point intersects
with lot 18 of We st Mount Place; thence North 83° , 38' We st,
640 feet to a point at the general westerly right-of-way line of
the dead end of West Mount Drive; thence in a general northerly
direction on a line to a point which is the southeasterly corner
of Dorothy Street, at a point where it dead ends, which point is
" also 360 feet from a line measured from U. S. Route No. 61
5outh 53° 12' West; thence North 53° 12' East, 360 feet to a point

on U. S. R oute No. 61; thence South 36° 48' Ea st along the
Southwesterly right-of-way line of U. S. Route No. 61,
735 feet to the point of beginning.
5ECTTON 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
pa.rticularly suitable for the uses and purposes of Class "F" Commercial
District, and that such cha.nge authorized hereby is reasona.ble and in
reasonable conformity with the exiating use and value of the immediately
surrounding properties.
SECTION 3. This ordina.nce shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and approval.
