AN ORDIIJANCE PROVIDING FOR AND THE APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A STATE HIGHGdTAY INSIDE THE
CITY LINIITS OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIR�RDEAU� MISSOURT� SAID
CONTRACT TO BE EXECUTED BY AND BETWEEN THE SAID CITY AND THE
STATE HIGHfr�AY COMMISSION; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THIS
CITY TO EXECUTE TNE SAID CONTRA.CT ON BEHALF OF THIS GITY.
BE IT ORDA.INED BY THE BOARD OF ALI?ERMII�1 OF TI�E CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAII�
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS, TO Tn�IT:
SECTIflN l: Wherea.s� the Missouri State Aighway Comm.i.ssion is to
construct and maintain a State Hi�hway into and through the City to be
known as State Route K from the western City I,�mi.ts of this City
easterly to U.S. Route 61� as shown on plans and specifications o� file
with the State Highway Commission� and,
�kiEREAS, the City and the Commission desire to enter into a contract
for the acquisition, use, maintenance, control� and cost of upkeep of
said highway through this city.
NOW� THEREFOR��, IT �S HEREBY OF�DAINID by the Board of Aldermen
aforesaid that a proposed contract drafted bg the State Highway
Co�uai.ssion relating to the aforesaid matters be and by this ordinance
is approved.
SECTIOAi 2. A eopy of said ccmtract is hereb�r ordered filed with
the City Clerk after the same has been executed by the parties thereto.
S�CTION 3. The Mayor of this Gity is hereb�r authorized and
directed for and on behalf of the City to execute said contract.
Read three times, passed and proved by the Board of Aldermen on
