AN ORDINANCE AMENDZNG CHAPTER 25 OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU BY
CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF OUT LOT 72, SUR-
VEY 2199, TO CLASS "D", APARTMENT DISTRICT
WHEREA5, the City Planning and Zaning Commission ha.s recomznended
that all property described in Section 1 Qf this Ordinance should be rezoned
Class "D" Apartment District, and
WHEREAS, Public notice of such change in zoning was given as
prescribed by Chapter 25 of the General Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, and public hearing was held in conformity with such notice
by the City Council on September 7th, 1966,
NOW� THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, A5 FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 25 of the General Ordinancea of the City of Cape
Girardeau ie hereby amended to change the boundary af the present Class
"D" Apartment District so as to include the following described praperty.
A rectangular area bounded on the north by the sauth right of way
line of Emerald Street; bounded Qn the east by the west right af
way line of Middle Street; bounded an the south by the nurth right
of way line Qf Pearl Street; and baunded on the west by the east
right of way line of Sprigg Stree�
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that the
property described in 5ection 1 hereof is at the present time particularly
suitable for the uses and purposes of Class "D" Apartmcnt District
and that such change authorized hereby is reasanable and in reasonable
conformity with thc existing use and value of the immediately surrounding
pr opertie s.
SECTION 3. This Ordinances shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
