AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU BY
CHANGING THE ZOIVING OF AN AREA ON BROADVIEW
5TREET LYING BETWEEN ARENA PARK AND TEAMSTERS
AND CHAUFFEURS LOCAL 574, TO CLA55 D APARTMENT
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
that all of the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance should be
rezoned Claas D Apartme�nt Distriet, arid -
WHEREAS, Public notice of such change in zoning was given as
prescribed by Chapter 25 of the general ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau and public hearing was held in conformity with such notice by the
City Council on the 17th day of August, 1966,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 25 of the general ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the boundary of
the present Class D Apartment District so as to include the following
described prop�rty:
An area containing approximately 8. 15 acres fronting
698. 13 feet on Broadview Street on the east and bounded
on the 5outh by real e5tate owned by Teamsters and
Chauffeurs Local 574, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and
bounded on the west and the north by real esta.te owned
by the City of Cape Girardeau, known as Arena Park.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in 5ection 1 hereof is at the present time particularly
suitable for the uses and purposes of Class D Apartment District, and that
such change authorized hereby is reasonable and in reasonable conformity
with the existing use and value of the immediately surrounding properties.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
