AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM SEMO
BODY & SALVAGE COMPANY FOR INDEPENDENCE STREET
WHEREAS, Semo Body & Salvage Company, a corporation of the Sta.te
of Miasouri, has executed a Quit Claim De�d dated April 20th, 1966, con-
veying to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a portion of John H. Popp's
subdivision in the City of Cape Girardeau, as more fully described herein-
after in this ordina.nce, and the City desires to accept such Deed and have
same recorded,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri hereby accepts a
Quit Claim Deed dated April 20th, 1966, executed by Semo Body & Sa.lvage
Company, a corporation, conveying to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
the following described real esta.te located in the City and County of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri:
A parcel of real estate located in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot Four of John H. Popp's
Subdivieion, said point being in the center of Independence Street;
thence South 6' 26' West along the east line of Lot Four of John
H. Popp's Subdivision a distance of 25. 0 feet; thence North 84'
O6' West, 528. 0 feet to a point on the west line of said Lot Four;
thence North 6" 26' East with the West line of Lot Four 25. 0 feet
to the Northwest corner of said Lot Four; thence South 84` O6'
East along the north line of Lot Four being also the centerline of
Independence Street a diata.nce of 528. 0 feet to the point of
beginning.
and it is ordered that said deed be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
SECTION 2. The land conveyed by Deed described in Section 1 hereof
is hereby named and designated as Independence 5treet.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days
after its passage and approval.
