AN ORDINANCE AMENDING COMMIS5ION FORM ORDINANCE NO.
2539 IN SETTING THE ANNUAL SALARTES OF CERTAIN OFFICERS
AND EMPLOYEES OF T HE CIT Y OF CAPE GIRARDEAU
WHEREAS, Commission Form Ordinance No. 2539 set out the salary
of certain city employees, among which was the salary of the City Engineer,
set at $8, 980. 00, and
WHEREAS, the salary of the City Engineer is to be raised as of
March 28, 1966, to Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10, 500. 00) per
year, and an Assista.nt City Engineer is to be employed at a yearly salary
of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000. 00),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAYNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF C�APE GIRARDEAU, AS FOLLOWS:
Section L Commission Form Ordinance No. 2539 is hereby amended
to cha.nge the salary of Engineer by increasing same from Eight Thousand Nine
Hundred Eighty Dollars ($8, 980. 00) per annum, to Ten Thousand Five Hundred
Dallars ($10, 500. 00) per annum, and by adding to such Ordinance the pvaition
af Assistant City Engineer, and setting the salary of the Assista.nt City
Engineer at Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000. 00) per annum.
Section 2. Such cha.nges in salary of the City Engineer and the addition �
of the Assista.nt City Engineer sha.11 be effective as of March 28th, 1966.
Section 3. This Ordina.nce shall be in full force and effect ten days
after its pa.ssage and approvaL
