AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE I�T0.2491 PRO�
H�BZTING THE ABANDONMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES
BY ADDTNG TO DEFII�tITIOIV OF MOTOR YEHTCLES,
WHEREAS, Ordina.nce N'o. 2091 was enacted July 5, 1960, prohibiting
the abandonment of motar vehicle s, but did nat de acribe motor vehicle s, and
said Ordinance since the date af its passage ha.s been ambiguous in this
respect;
NOWs THER EFORE, BE XT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Ga.pe Girardeau, Missouri, as followa:
SECTION 1 � Commission Farm Ordina.nce No. 2091 is hereby repealed;
SECTION 2 � That the f�llowing Ordin�.nce is enacted in lieu thereof:
"5ECTION 1 � Nn person shall abandon a m.otar vehicle �n a
atreet of the City af Cape Girardeau, Misaouri, or anywhere
else in said city.
SECTION 2 p Any per�on wha leaves a mator vehicle unattended
an a street af the City far more than 24 hours chall be deemed
prima facie tQ have abandoned the same, and such vehicle may
b� remaved in the ma.nner provided by Sections 35. 21 of the
General Ordina.nces of the City of Cape Girardeau.
SECTION 3 • For the purpQse of this �rdinance motor vehicle
shall include but sha.11 nat be limited to the fallowing: aut�mobile,
pickup truck, truck, trailer, tractors, van, flat bed, farm
ma.chinery, construction vehicles, buses, mot�r cycles Qr any
portion thereDf,
SECTION 4 � Any persQn violating the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION `� � Sectiona 1, 2 and 3 of this ardinance eha.11 be numbered
azzd known as Section 35. 215 and 35. 216 and 35. 217 af the General
Ordinances of the City of � ape Girardeau,
