AN ORDZNANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF ALL OF LOTS 3 THROUGH 13, INCLUSIVE, IN CRITE5
SECOND ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, BEING A
SUBDIVISION OF PART OF OUTLOT 79 AND A PART OF OUTLOT 82,
U.S. PRIVATE SURVEY N0. 2199, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 13
EA.ST, 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE
GIRAR.DEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO R-3

WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commissi.on
has recommended that all of the pro�erty described in
Section 1 of this Ordinance should be rezoned from R-1
Single-Family Dwelling District to R-3 Two-Family Dwelling
District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held
on Wednesday, November 18, 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City o� Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-1 Single-Family Dwelling District to R-3
Two-Family D�velling District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY Ok' CAPE GIRARDEAU, MTSSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:.
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to
change the boundarX of the present R-3 Two-Family Dwelling
District so as to include the following described property:
All of Lots 3 through l3, inclusive, in Crites
Second Addition, to the City of Cape Gi;rardeau,
being a subdivision of part of Outlot 79 and a
part of Outlot 82, U. S. Private Survey No. 2199,
Township 30 North, Range 13 East, 5th Principal
Meridian, City and County of Cape Gixardeau,
State of Missouri.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and
declares that the property described in Sectian 1 hereof

is at the present time particularly suitable for the
purposes and uses of R-3 Two-Family Dwelling District, and
that such changes authorized hereby are reasonabTe and in
reasonable conformity with the existing uses and value of
the immediately surrounding properties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten (10) days after its passage and approval.
