AN ORDZNANCE AUTHORIZING THE CTTY MANAGER TQ ACCEPT ON
BEHALF O�' THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MZSSOURI, A �'EDERAL
GRANT �N AN AMOUNT OF $1d9, 8(IQ . OQ FOR PROJECT NUMBER MO-410
AND TO MAKE ASSURI�,NCES CONTAZNED TN THE OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE
OF k'EDERA,L GRANT �'OR SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS UNDER 33 U.B.C.
466 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, under 33 U.S.C. 466 et seq, the United
States of America (herein called the °'Government") has
tendered to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouxi, a Municipal
Corporation, (herein called the °'Public Body") an Offer
and Acceptance of Federal Grant For Sewage Trea:tment Works
in Qroject Number MO-410 , in an amount of $109, 800 . 00; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Body has given due consideration
to such Offer and Acceptance of Federal Grant for Sewage
Treatment Works ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEA.U, MISSOURI, A5 FOLLOWS:
5ECTZON 1. The proposed Offer and Acceptance of
Federal Grant for Sewage Treatment 4dorks under 33 U.S.C.
466 et seq. , Project Number MO-410 in an amount of $109 , 80Q .OQ
is hereby approved in all respects .
SECTION 2. The City Manager of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized and directed to
accept the Federal Grant on behalf of the local Public BodX,
and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Offer
and Acceptance of Federal Grant for Se�rrage Treatment Works
Under 33 U.S.C. 466 et seq. , and the City Clerk of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized and directed
to impress and attest the offici,al seal of this local Public
Body on each such counterpart and to fortizard such counterparts
as may Iae required to the Cor?m.issioner of the Federal ��Tater
Pol3ution Contral' Administrati.on, together �zith such certified
copies of the proceedings and further documents relative to

the approval and execution of the Offer and Acceptance

466 e.t seq. , as may be required by the Government.
SECTION 3. The City Manager of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized and directed on
I�ehalf o� tTie local Public Body, to make assurances as
contained in the Offer and Acceptance of Federal Grant for
Sewage Treatment �nlorks .
SECTZON 4. Due to the immedi,ate need to bui,ld
sewers and for the timely acceptance of the Federal Grant,
there exist� an e,mergency; this Ordinance shall take effect
in�mediately upon its passage and approval.
