AN ORDZNANCE GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO C. E, & S.
CONSTRUCTZON COMPANY TO COM�'LETE IMPROVEMENT OF THOMAS
DRZVE AND PERRY AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MTSSOURI

WHEREAS, by contract duly author�zed or ordi,nance,
C. E. & 5. Construction Company agreed witTz the City of
Cape Girardeau, Mi.ssoura�, to improve part of Thomas Drive
and Perry Avenue, and to complete sai,d improvement by
Decembex 22, 1970; and,
WHEREA5, due to i,nability to work. on account of
weather conditions and other City work; and
WHEREAS, said contractor has requested the City
Counci.l to gxant him an additional extension of time
unti.l Ju1X 1, 1971, within which to complete said
i,mprovement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. That C. E. & S. Construction Company,
contractor for the i.mprovement of Thomas Drive and Perry
Avenue, is hereby given an extension of time until July 1, 1971,
�ith�n which to complete said improvement with the City.
SECTION 2 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict �rith the provisions hereof are Yiereby repealed.
SECTION 3 . In order to preserve and promote the
public peace, h.ealth, and safety of the Citizens of Cape
Girardeau and as an emergency exists concerning the ti,mely
passage of this Ordinance, this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
