AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE Ok' ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE
ZONING OF ALL OF LOTS 13, 14, 15 AND 16 IN BLOCK ONE OF
GIBONEY HOUCK'S SECOND SUBDIVISION, IN THE CITY AND COUNTY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, FROM R-3 TO C-1
VIHEREA5, the City Planning and Zoning Commission
has recommended that all of the property described in Section 1
of this Ordinance should be rezoned from R-3 'I'�ao-Family
D�nrelling District to C-1 Local Commercial District; and,
�iJHEREA.S, Publ%c Notice of such change was given as
prescribed i,n Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missr�uri, and public hearing was
held on Wednesday, September 24, 1969; and,
WHEREAS, tIze Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-3 'I'�ao-Family Dwelling District to C-1 Local
Commercial Di.strict;
NOG�T, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to
change the boundary of the present C-1 Local Commercial
District so as to include the following described property:
All of Lots 13, 14, 15 and 16 in
Block One of Giboney Houck 's Second Subdivision
in the City of Cape Girardeau, County of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property described in 5ection 1 hereof is at the
present time particularly suitable for tYie purposes and uses
of C-1 Local Commercial District, and tl�.at such changes
authorized hereby are reasonable and i.n reasonable conformity

with the existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten (10� days. after its passage and approval.
