AN ORDINANCE GRA.NTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL
OF FRANGIaC:AN SISTERS, A PRO FORMA DECREE CORPORATION OF THE STATE
OF MI5SOURI, FOR PURPOSE5 OF CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING AND OPERA.TING
A I30SPITAL l3UILDING, MEDICAL CENTER AND OTHER RELATED 5TRUCTURES
AND USES, TO BE LOCATED ON A PART OF OUTI�OT NO. 84, U. S . PRIVATE
SURVEY NO, 2199, IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIR.ARDEAU, MISSOURI

TaHEREA5, St. Francis Hospital of Franciscan Sisters , a
Pro Forma Decree Corporation of the State of Missouri, desire to
construct, maintain and operate a hospital building, medical
center and other related structures and uses; and
WHEREAS, the proposed location of this hospital building,
medical center and other related structures is at Old Route K and
Mt. Auburn Road in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, this hospital building, medical center and other
related structures will be for the healtk and welfare of the
community; and
��7HEREAS, the Zoning Code of the City of Cape Girardeau
requires that a 5pecial Use Permit be granted for suCh hospital
building, medical center and other related structures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRA.RDEA:U, MISSOURI, :AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. The Cit_y Council, having duly considered the
application finds that the granting of the Special Uss Permit will
not substantially increase traffic hazards , congestion, fire hazards
or adversely affect the general character of the neighborhood or the
general welfare of the community nor will it overtax public
uti.lities or be in conflict with the comprehensive plan.
SECTION 2. A Special Use Permit for the purpose of
constructing, maintaining and operati:ng a hospital building,
medical center and other related structures in Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, on the following described property:

is hereby granted to St. Francis Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, a
Pro Forma Decree Corporation of_ the State of Missouri, to be
effective ten days after the date of passage and approval of this
ordinance . The proposed special use must comply with all regulations
set forth in the Zoning Code for the district in which the use is
located except those which have been specifically excepted under
this permit, all other applicable Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau and any special conditions contained in the Special
Use Permit, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked as
°'Exhibit A'° and incorporated herein by reference. The Mayor is
hereby given the power to execute the Special Use Permit on
behalf of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and

effect ten days after its passage and approval.
