CITY MANAGER FORM ORDINANCE NO. S�IS�
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF JEWEL DRIVE B�TW.�EN AN UNNI�MED
PROPOSED STRE�T AND ROUTE K.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH� CITY OF CAPE GIR.ARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is no public need for a portion of Jewel
Drive between an unnamed proposed street and Route K.
SECTION 2. All that portion of Jewel Drive as it exists
between an unnamed proposed street and Route K, described by metes
and bounds as follows : Start at the northeast corner of Lot 10 of
Edgewood Highlands Fourth Subdivision; thence north 46° 15 ' west
with Jewel Drive 52.67 feet for a point of beginning; thence north
31° 13 ' west with Jewel Drive 200.5 feet to the intersection of the
west line of Jewel Drive and the south right-of-way line of State
Route "K" ; thence north 53• 22 ' east, 21.7 feet; thence north
82° 54' east, 31.2 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 9 of Edgewood
Highlands Fourth Subdivision; thence south 31° 13 ' east w ith the
east line of Jewel Drive 176.4 feet; thence south 43° 45 ' west,
51.74 feet to the point of beginning, is hereby vacated.
SECTION 3 . There is hereby retained by the City of Cape
Girardeau any and all easements for sewer or utilities purposes,
under, through, and across said land described in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 4. The Mayor of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
is hereby authorized and empawered to execute and deliver to the
owner of property fronting and abutting on the land described in
Section 2 of this Ordinance, Quit Claim Deeds to the said lands to
the extent that said lands revert by law to said abutting owners.

SECTION 5 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days after its passage and approval.
