AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO JAMES F. STOV.ALL
D/B/A SUPERIOR CONCRETORS TO COMPLETE IMPROVEMENT OF SPRIGG
5TREET, AMETHYST TO BERTLING, IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI
WHEREAS, by contract duly authorized or ordinance,
James F. Stovall d/b/a Superior Concretors agreed with the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , to improve part of 5prigg Street,
Amethyst to Bertling, and to complete said improvement by
July 27, 1971; and,
WHEREA5, due to inability to work on account of weather
conditions and other City work; and,
WHEREAS, said contractor has requested the City Council
to grant him an additional extension of time until August 26 , 1971,
within which to complete said improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
5ECTION 1. That James F. Stovall d/b/a Superior Concretors ,
contractor for the improvement of Sprigg Street, Amethyst to
Bertling, is hereby given an extension of time until August 26, 1971 ,
within which to complete said improvement with the City.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed.
5ECTION 3. In order to preserve and promote the public
peace, health and safety of the Citizens of Cape Girardeau and as
an emergency exists concerning the timely passage of this Ordinance,
this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage and approval.
