CITY MANAGER FORM ORDINANCE NO. ^��"`
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART
OF OUTLOT NO. 78B AND OUTLOT N0. 83, U. 5. PRIVATE SURVEY NO. 2199 ,
TOWNSH3P 30 AND 31 NORTH, RA.NGE 13 EAST, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, 5TATE OF MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO R-4
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended •that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-1 Single-Family Dwelling
District to R-4 Multiple Dwelling Distri�t; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on
Wednesday, April 5 , 1972; and
WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
has elected to rezone the property described in Section 1 from
R-1 Single-Family Dwelling District to R-4 Multiple Dwelling
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDFAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change
the boundary of the present R-4 Multiple Dwelling District so as
to include the following described property:
Part of Outlot No. 78B and Outlot No. 83, U.5 .
Private Survey No. 2199 , Township 30 and 3I North,
Range l3 East, City and County of Cape Girardeau,
State of Missouri , described as follows:
Begin at a point on the east line of said
Outlot No. 78B; South 8° 14' West, 2, 245 . 8 feet,
from the northeast corner of said Outlot No. 788;
thence South 8° 14 ' West along said east line, 270 . 8
feet; thence South 8° 15' West, along the east line
of said Outlots No. 78B and No. 83, 590 .0 feet;
thence North 81° 45 ' West, 265 .0 feet; thence North 8°
15 ' East, 300 .0 feet; thence North 81° 45 ' West,
35 .0 feet; thence North 8° 15 ' East, 110 .0 feet;
thence North 81° 45 ' West, 43 .0 feet; thence North
55° 00 ' West, 526. 3 feet to a point which bears
North 6° 00 ' East, 75 . 2 feet from the southeast corner
of Westfield Subdivision; thence along the east line
of Westfield Subdivision with the following courses and

4° 49' East, 201.0 feet; thence North 6° 16 '
East, 230 . 0 feet; thence leaving said east line,

East, 85.6 feet; thence South 34° 34 ' East, 100 .0
feet; thence 5outh 44° 30 ' East, 100 .0 feet; thence
South 52° 00 ' East, 570 .0 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property described in Section 1 hexeof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of R-4
Multiple Dwelling District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding properties .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
