AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCE5 OF
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRA.RDEAU, MISSOURI , BY CHANGING THE ZONING
OF THE EAST PART OF LOT l, R. L. WIL50N 'S 5UBDIVISION OF
OUTLOT 74, IN U.5.P, SURVEY NO. 2199 , CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, FROM R-1 TO R-2

WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of �he propezty described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-1 Single=Family Dwelling
District to R-2 Single-Family Dwelling District; and
WHEREA5, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , and public hearing was held on
Wednesday, March 15, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in Section 1
from R-1 Single-Family Dwelling District to R-2 5ingle-Family
Dwelling District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, A5 FOLLOW5:
SECTION l. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , is hereby amended to change
the boundary of the present R-2 Single-Family Dwelling District
so as to include the following described property:
Al1 of the East Part of Lot 1, R.L. Wilson' s
Subdivision of Outlot 74, in U.S.P. Survey No. 2199 ,
described as follows:
Begin at the Northeast corner of Haddock' s
Subdivision; thence North 9 degrees East. , with the
East line of Haddock' s Subdivision, extended, 437 . 2
feet to the North line of Lot l; Thence West along
the said North line 458.04 feet; thence South 9
degrees West, 425 feet to the Northwest corner of
Haddock' s Subdivision; then:ce 5outh 80 degrees
42 minutes East, along the North line of Haddock' s
Subdivision 190 feet; thence South 9 degrees West,
10 feet; Thence 5outh 80 degrees 42 minutes East,
along the North line of Haddock' s Subdivision,
268.04 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2 . The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present

time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of �
R-2 Single-Family Dwelling District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding properties .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
