AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEA.U, MISSOURI, TO EXERCISE THE OPTION TO PURCHASE THE KOER-
BER TRACT BY PAYING ONE-HALF OF THE FIR5T IN5TALLMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEA.U,
MI5SOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Cape Girardeau has exercised an
option to purchase certain real estate knovan as the Koerber Tract
by complying with the formalities of the option to purchase. The
City has submitted an application to the Federal Government for
participating funds which has been approved at the regional level
and which is being reviewed by the officials in Washington, D. C.
It is reasonably expected that the Federal Government will approve
the grant request and �aill therefore participate in the cost of ac-
quiring the Koerber Tract and that the Federal money will be avail-
able to the City within six months.
5ECTION 2. The proper officials of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, are hereby directed to pay one-half of the
first installment for the purchase of the Koerber Tract and to do
all other things necessary to comply with the option to purchase.
The second one-half of the first installment for the purchase
of the Koerber Tract and to do all other things necessary to comply
with the option to purchase. The second one-half of the first in-
stallment for the purchase of the Koerl3er Tract is to be paid to

SECTION 3. In order to promote the best interests of the
citiz�ens of Gape Girardeau and an an emergency exists concerning the
timely passage of the foregoing ordinance, in order to comply �nrith
the terms of the. contract of sale mentioned Y�.erein tfi:is ordinance
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon it� passage and
approval. �
