AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHA.PTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, BY CHA.NGING THE
ZONING OF BLOCK 3, OAK PARK ADDITION, CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, TO C-1 COMMERCIA.L
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of this
ordinance should be rezoned to C-1 Commercial, and
WHEREAS, public notice of such change in zoning was given as
prescribed in Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, and a public hearing was held in conformity with
such notice on January 22, 1969, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape Girardeau has elected
to rezone the property described in Section 1 to C-1 Commercial
District, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the boundary
of the present C-1 Commercial District so as to include the following
described property:
All of Block Three (3), Oak Park Addition to the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares
that the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the uses and purposes of C-1 Comznercial
District, and that such changes authorized hereby are reasonable and
in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and value of the immediately
surrounding properties.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
